someone said they would do it all for me for 30 pounds is that ok? I had my car serviced towards end of december from the same person/company and wipers werent changed at time but i can see that they jam when i try to use them now, so i have to put them on constant use if i want too use them in the rain.
I know these are minor things people can do themselves but i just cant as im a girl off 21.

xx

Hi there, with so many people out there willing to take anybody's money for doing nothing, it's easy to think that you could get it cheaper elsewhere, I think £30 is ok for 2 front wipers and 4 wheel balance, make sure you get a receipt for the work as wipers and wheel balance do come with a guarantee too.
Kwik Fit aint that cheap, you will however have a better guarantee though, nationwide.
ps average size wipers from spares shop could cost about 4quid each which leaves about 22quid for wheel balance which is £5.50 a wheel which is cheap.
Good Luck

You are being ripped off! If the wipers didn't jam before the service - then they have done something to them to make them jam now - if one wiper head (the bit that holds the blade) is too long, it will get in the way of the other one and jam! go to Halfords - they will fit replacements properly! As for tyres - stick to a proper tyre specialist - they should do balancing for very little money! You'd be surprised at what you can do yourself - just read the instructions on things - it's no worse than cooking really!

the wipers should have been inspected on the service and renewed if faulty, most tyre depots balance the wheels for free when you buy tyres, so unless you are in the habit of bumping the curb you should never need to pay for balancing, all in all i think perhaps you should try a different garage.

I think thats too expensive and they're just taking aadvantage of you. It shouldn't cost that much to get your wheels balanced. And if you go to a local car parts shop rather than one of the big dealers if you buy the wipers from them they'll fit them too fot free if you ask. They usually do for me!
