no you should never forget anyone no matter what they did to you in the beginning but you should forgive. at least you would remember what happened and try to avoid it in the future. and maybe you should try and find out the reason or reasons why they left you in the first place and if it's fixable fix it and maybe they would see that you are willing to change for them.
