Write a letter to the local newspaper for the area asking him to contact you via e.g. your solicitors, explaining that there is something very important you need to tell him about the children. Remember to say that the reason is not to ask him for money, and that if he prefers he can call you and not reveal his address etc. I think the editor would print your letter.

You can access this info through the voters role in the UK for small fee and it can be done online - I would imagine you could do this in other countries as well

A private investigator might be helpful.
If you have a friend who works at the DMV, you might try running his DL# or his license plate numbers. I'm not sure it's as easy to do that type of thing these days though.
Also, you might try asking a collection agency to trace him but be ready to pay them for it. They're not likely to do it for free.

He may be on the electoral roll check the local council area where he is living.

csa,or poll tax,or some friends,or go to the police,they might send a message on,but they wont give you where he live,but they will tell you if he has recived it,hope this helps,but i would go to the police first,
