Can anyone give me a list of German wars and their dates, or send me a link to a site?

It's hard to designate a national unit for todays Germany before 1871. This is what I can think of:

Germans did participate in most crusades, but I'll skip that.

The Battles for Vienna 1529 and 1683 (Wiener Türkenbelagerungen; only if you dare to count the Austrians to the German people, which would be correct but not gladly seen by Austrians)

Thirty Years War 1618 - 1648 (dreißigjähriger Krieg)

Der Pfälzische Erbfolgekrieg 1688 (Sorry, I don't know the English name. It lead to the destruction of the Palace in Heidelberg)

French Revolutionary Wars 1792-1802 (Koalitionskriege)

Napoleonic Wars 1805-1815 (Napoleonische Kriege; note that the German and the English designations are not meaning the exact same wars and these last two cases)

Franco-Prussian War 1870-1871 (Deutsch-Französischer Krieg)

WWI 1914-1918 (Erster Weltkrieg)

Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 (Spanischer Bürgerkrieg; the Nationalists got help from Nazi-Germany)

WWII 1939-1945 (Zweiter Weltkrieg)

Germany was since recently involved in the war in Kosovo and Afghanistan

That depends on your definition of "German".
If you take Germany in the modern way, the Deutsche Reich was founded in 1871. And after that there were only two world wars.
Before that, you might take Prussia as the most important German state.
1796-1815 The Napoleonic wars.
1848 German Revolution (no success)
1863 German-Danish war
1866 Prussian-Austrian war
1870-1871 German-French war.

If you need more details send me an email.
