These people know nothing. Okay first of all its David Beckham not Becham. He is a decent/fairly good player who is very famous in the U.S.and everywhere else, he is from England, he currently plays for Real Madrid (a very popular soccer club in Spain) and he is leaving that team because the new coach is a dick, but back to my point.... BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM means Curve the ball like Beckham. Theres a certain way to kick the ball so that it can curve inward or outward. I've never seen it to be honest, i respect Beckham but im not a big fan of him, i'm a Real Madrid fan though...

When a player "bends" a shot, they put "English" on the ball and make it curve. Also called a banana kick. If you've ever seen someone shoot a ball directly into the goal from a corner kick, you've seen them "bend" it.

Beckam is good at bending his shots. Watch direct kicks that curve around a wall of players.; it's beautiful.

Hi Ya

Bend it like Beckham is a reference to David Beckham a very good (some say excellent or even best soccer/football player) so bend it like Beckham would be to play like David Beckham.

Hope that helps.

It's a crude reference to Beecham's Laxative pills. A horrible mental image that we Brits have been trying to purge from our memories. thanks for dredging it up again.
