Is it the excitement and festive spirit, the carefree summer days, the constant bashing and fighting between different teams and their supporters (nods to Italy-France), or is it something else?

I miss the atmosphere, I miss the jerseys.I miss the colours. I miss the predictions and most of all I miss the underdog teams that comes out of nowhere and creates such a buzz that makes the game so exciting. And what i don't miss was how my pick of both England and Argentina bowed out early!

There is sooo much i miss about it. I live ina multicultural country, so i misse everyone having their national flag on their cars, and every time we saw someone with a Brazil flag, my mom would beep the car, and they'd beep back, and then everyone would start beeping. I miss the parties, the tears, the joy, the excitement when my team scored, the way that complete strangers form together and cheer for their team. I miss the adrenaline rush i got before each game. I miss waiting in front of the t.v. and hour before the game started. I miss watching my boy Ronaldinho playing. I miss the passion everyone has for the beautiful game. I miss the fans, i miss the colours, i miss the jerseys. I miss how it seems like the whole world stops, just for a moment. Like no poverty no pain exists, and that there is just the World Cup. I miss how no one talked about anything but the world cup, i miss everything about it. I miss my beautiful game...

The soccer in general. We don't get much soccer over here in the US except from digital cable packages and FSC. So, it was nice to be able to turn on the EPSN or EPSN2 a couple times a week (for a whole month) and watch countries all over the world battle each other for the World Cup championship.

The feeling, the spirit, the rush of adrenaline... the moments of tension... the chants and stomps from the millions of fans that gathered. But most of all, the enthusiasm to know your team scored and you screamed at the top of your lungs, "GOAL!!!" It's just too much to have let go, to let pass in just one month... Now we have to wait a little over three years to relive the experience, to scream, "GOAL!" and actually mean it for your country.

The unity of strangers who cheer for the same team, the energy and the intense atmosphere, gathering of friends, people doing weird stuff, like painting their faces,or wearing T-shirts with the number of their favorite player, cars with flags all over them, the shouting and screaming all over the neighborhood,my friends hanging out of the window to shout "goaaaaaaaaaaal!!"
It's great,cant wait till next time! :)
have a great day!

i miss all of those things you mentioned, even the fierce rivalries bet. the fans, lol. but i think most of all, I miss the coming together of people from evrywhere, ppl who otherwise would have been strangers to each other, to take part and enjoy each other's company in what my favorite football player (zizou) has called “a true celebration and a feast”. that's football of course, the most beautiful game of all.
