I'm pretty sure its 18 and its a good thing because by then you'll probably grow up a little and think that name is not so cool anymore.

It depends upon where you live. In most of the US, though, you can usually petition the court at age 18 (or 21 in some areas). Call your local courthouse and ask them. You will need money (sometimes upward of $100), and you'll need to retain the services of an attorney, or start doing a lot of research online. I know someone who did a name change without an attorney, and it did go through, but not without a stern lecture from the judge about proper legal procedure.

You must be 18 to legally change your name on your own. And a court would have to see a true reason behind doing so. Also, depending on where you live, (here in new york its $305) you have to pay to file the petition in order to have your name changed.

Not quite sure...

With most things you can do anything with parental consent if you are under age(exeption of drugs, liquor).

But if your parents dont agree with the idea, im pretty sure your going to be stuck with your name how it is untill you turn 18.

yeah.. thats about it.

Love your idea, though. i like rob zombie too. the best part, is that for you, you wont have to get accustomed to being called rob, since that was you name in the first place.

At 15 you need your folks to do it.

At 18 you can legally do it.
