I never played any instruments but I love the sound of music and can tell certain changes and remember how the sounds go, so I know I have something that is related to music, specially that I love Tchaikovvsky Serenade for string orchestra, that I decided that is time to start clases, so, any tips you know so I can start? (besides clases)

Keep playing through the initial noise (like a dying cat) and through the initial finger-soreness. You won't get better if you give up....

also, learn how to tune your violin first. trying to learn on an out-pf-tune instrument will lead to the kind of frustration that makes people quit music.

As with playing any instrument (I know how to play two), it's important to practice. That's obviously a given. Next thing I'd say is that somtimes playing an instrument gets frustrating, so put it away for a half-hour or so, take your mind off of it, then come back and try it again.

Practice, practice, practice!! Be ready for some pain, and it does go away!
When you practice until you are so tired that your fingers don't obey you anymore, that's when you quit. The next day, you will see the improvement from that practice. You will be amazed.
Remember, when you are practicing, when you start to really suck is when your practice has taken hold and your hands have learned something.
Remember, it's the next day that you see the real results, so when you suck, put it down, be happy, and wait for tomorrow!!!

I don't know what you mean by "classes." Find a good private teacher.
