Its these people that think dressing all in black and getting piercings everywhere are cool. I guess they don't realize that they are the 'trendy' people now.

Okay. Emo does not mean that you dye your hair black and wear all black and such. That's dumb. A lot of people get 'gothic' and 'emo' confused and it's annoying. I actually think labels are ridiculously dumb but my friends and I get labeled gothic and emo a lot of the time. They base it on the eyeliner I guess? We do NOT wear all black, we do NOT whine all the time, and we do NOT have a bunch of piercings or tattoos. Emo means emotional. People just assume things. I'm NOT saying I'm Emo or Gothic. I'm just saying...it's sad really what people say about emo =\

Emo is what some teens are doing now days. It's part of a trend where they base everything off their emothions- thus emo. It's actually really sad because they are all about how people mistreat them and their songs happen to be about how they dislike their parents :-/ Kind of a poor-pitiful-me group lol

ok, I asked my daughters this because I am old and have no clue. Emo as in emotional has replaced the term drama queen or whatever people were using before they switched to emo.
