MY theory- they are ambitious people with demanding careers. Having people popping out of bushes while you're trying to fill up the car with gas and people going through your trash- then selling all details and then some to the tabloids can't help.
I would hate to be famous.

I have a theory about this...I think they are all arranged!! Seriously, I feel that 95% if not more of celebrity marriages are done by their PR people. To get them back in the news, they have the people divorce, or hook up with the latest hot celeb, but who I feel bad for is the kids that come out of this. I mean some arranged marriages can work, but most don't and that is why they don't seem to stay married long.

My theory is that they are to scared to go into a relationship with a non profile person, being that the person may use them. They end up marrying a high profile or celebrity like themselves because they understand their line of work. Also that work in such close proximity (on the same set)of each other that they just latch on to one another.

I think its because of the media/papprazzi etc. I think also its the pressure of "looking good as a couple". Time has changed when a celebrity sticks with one person, Patrick Swayze has stayed grounded, so has Lisa Welchel. Other's just do not realize the importance and significance of going before God and committing. That is sad, very very sad.
I agree they do have a high failure rate, and how it can/could be solved. I have don't have a correct answer, but an opinion.

I think there are three primary factors:
1) One gets jealous when the other's career becomes significantly more lucrative.
2) Long periods of time apart.
3) Excessive attention, in the form of adoration, from people outside the marriage creates an unrealistic sense of entitlement in actors.

Many meet making flims, or videos, and the high fast paced lifestyle, can be more of a problem for one partner than the other. And the commitments they have to the public and their agents, and the desire to climb the ladder to a higher point in their lives. And some for celebrity status and gossip, and to keep in the limelight. Buts that just my opinon, oh yea, and for money status.

I think probably the day to day issues in marriage compounded by the high profile status with everyone stalking your every move taking pics at your most cherished and private moments. Seperation due to tours movies etc. Speculation from tabloids of this affair that affair. Jealousy if one is more famous or makes more money.

I would have to say selfishness. There is no such thing as committment in Hollywood. Will the Donald and Rosie ever make up?

I believe that celebrity relationships/marriages have high failure rates because they aren't really real, there fake. Some are real no doubt about it but they really are fake because they try to increase they publicity with the people.
