Okay, this question needs an educated answer. I was just reading Discover magazine, the year-end issue (December). It just so happened to have a quick 20 'facts' about aliens on the inside of the back cover. Many of those who claim to have been abducted by aliens claim some sort of sexual experiments were performed on them. Another study found that a very high percentage of people with these claims also suffer from sleep paralysis, which can cause bizarre hallucinations/dreams. I think it seems likely that the sleep paralysis is related to the claims of alien abduction. In different cultures, the hallucination is different. In New Zealand (I think), sleep paralysis is called the 'old hag', because sufferers see an old woman crouching on their chest (I'm not sure if this has any sexual overtones to it) and in another country it was called 'ghost baby' because sufferers claimed a baby was bouncing on them.

Anyhow, I guess my point is that I agree with you, the asker, that alien abductions seem a little far-fetched, and there are some good scientific explanations for most of them (and mostly it is all taking place in the abduction victim's head).

Hope this helps.

Aliens do not abduct and probe humans. There is absolutely no evidence that we have been visited by aliens despite the millions of pages on the Internet that say we have.

A very good book on the subject of alien visitations is the late Carl Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World". It is highly recommended.

They are harvesting poop cells to take back to their planet. After the great poop blight of 2834, they just can't get a good turd burger anywhere.

Their research has shown that humans are full of some of the best s*** in the galaxy, so they came here.
