okay, first of all, sure its american soccer, but great players from all over the globe go to different teams, in different countries. Kléber Joao Boas for example, plays for a mexican team (necaxa) but he's from brazil. and pavel pardo (a mexican) plays for a german team. i think that david beckham is too good of a soccer player to even think about comming to galaxy, but if thats what he wanted to do, let him be. he might even make the team a little stronger. we are not to criticize until he actually plays his first game with galaxy. until then, im glad he's made the decision.

Its good for the US. 250 million is mainly for the publicity rights which Beckham has handed over to the league apparently. his actual salary I think I heard is going to be around 3 million a year. Which is more than double what the highest paid player before him got. Juan Francisco Palencia with around 1.4 million a year. Its a good signing for the league, but I don't know if the Galaxy are going to do so great even with that.

It is good that Beckham will play in the MLS because it will help the US to increase the attention of soccer fans. However, Beckham has a chance of losing the routine he had in Real Madrid.

Good for American soccer, because everyone knows who David Beckham is, and it'll help to raise the awareness of the sport in a way that Freddy Adu couldn't.

Wow, he says he's not doing it for the money. (1 million a week) for the next five years. I'm sure Victoria doesn't mind the move. She's been wanting to get into acting for ages. Maybe she can join the cast of Desperate House Wife's!!!!!!!!!

LOL
