Mourn if you want...be sorry if you want...if you were close, go to the funeral. Cry if you need to....if he was special to you in any way make sure the rest of the family knows it. Tell them what kind of things you liked about him, how he made you feel. If you have an Aunt(his wife) and cousins (their kids) make sure they are comforted. Help out at their house. They need a lot of support now. Remember he was a living being...Talk about him and his life, it may seem hard, but if you do it in a nice, easy, funny manner, it will get everyone talking and feeling better.
It's not a good thing to ignore the passing of a life, no matter what or who it is...

Depends on how close you were. I dont really understand what kind of advice you want. I am sorry for your loss and when my uncle passed i drank a bottle of schnapps and sang his fav songs.

Pray or meditate and remember the good times. Cry if you must, it is OK, because after all you will not see this person physically anymore. But I would ask that if he had an illness, such as Cancer, Aids or something like that, thank GOD that he is not in any pain anymore. My condolences.

Reflect on the good times that you had with him and share those times with your family. My grandmother used to ask me this question when faced with death. "when going to a rose garden, what do you pick, the thorns or the roses?" Obviously you pick the roses. God picked himself a rose, because he didn't want the thorns! He is in a much better place now, he is better off than we are here on earth!

Sorry for your loss, if he was married, console your aunt, and depending on how close you were, your heart will tell you what to do. God Bless.

Cry, remember the good times, then move on with life. One day, we all will die.
