My roommate is a party goer. She likes to get drunk and party all the time at her friends houses'. She's already asked me twice if I would like to hang with her and both times I've had an excuse not to go with her (like study, which is true). I'm a private person, who likes just chillin in my dorm looking at TV, studying, or surfing the net. I'm more of a movie/bowling/playing pool type of person. I am the complete opposite of her. I'm too shy to tell her the truth because I think she will call me a loser or party pooper. I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Any advice?

Ask her to do something you like. Maybe bowling, maybe she will enjoy that. Then you can say you know I like just hanging out more then going to the parties or clubs, then gauge her response. I don't think she will think you are a loser because you don't like to go out. Just say it without passing judgement on what she does. I used to go out all the time but now I get annoyed by all the people and noise so I prefer to stay in more. My friends still go out and occasionally when they go somewhere I will go if I know the people that are going to be there and know that it won't get too out of hand. Good luck.

I just think she doesn't want to see you cooped up in the room all the time...don't go through school and then regret not being more sociable...your internet will not be mad at you if you go out one night...(it just might be fun)
If it's not fun....then get 2 drinks in you...(don't get drunk)...Partying is actually a form of networking...

Maybe you should go out with her one night. If their partying get to raunchy, lude, drunken, don't go out with her again.
