I connected an ordinary cordless phone to my home hub whilst waiting for my hub phone to arrive. The best would be a digital phone as it gives better quality but you can plug an ordinary phone in but I found the quality was not as good as the digital but I now have my supplied home hub phone which I think looks sleek and blends well as it sits in the supplied cradle rather than having another phone next to it.

Best of luck finding something you like.

I have it on good authority that any old cheap internet phone will do. When I got my home hub I did not get a phone because I was not a new customer - just an idiot who had been loyal to bt anyway I phoned them and made my feelings known and the guy I spoke to told me that I shouldn't get upset cos any old phone would do and there was no need to pay out £50 or whatever. So unless you want to show off or have more money than sense its up to you

any DECT compatible phone should work. Get it from argos and you can always take it back and change it. You can also get the wireless hub handset from BT
