it is normal- and remember all babies, women and pregnancies are different!
if you do not feel baby move at all within 24 hours--call your doctor right away.
otherwise you should be fine.

Im due any day now and my baby is moving like mad--she had slowed down there for a while though.

In my experience I noticed that the baby didn't move as much. Sometimes it was like a couple of days it seemed. Everything was fine. I have also heard that it should move a little. If you don't feel movement for a couple of days then I would call a doctor. If you are worried about it, call your OB, at least it will put your mind at ease. I think the baby just runs out of room to move around. Good Luck, and sleep now while you still can. Congrats

I'm 38 weeks and there are times when baby seems "lazy"--and I get worried, but then a few days later he/she will kick up a storm. I was told that after eating a meal, lay down on your left side and count 10 movements (they don't necessarily need to be kicks). You should get 10 movements in 2 hours. If you are worried, you can always get checked out at the hospital on a fetal monitor (I had that done). They will make sure everything is ok. I'm sure baby is ok, sometimes they just get quiet.

Please do not take your baby not moving much lightly. If you have concerns ALWAYS call your Dr. Better to have false alarms then something happen to your baby.

Be aware there's no single "standard" for the number of kicks to expect, but on average you should be able to detect at least 5 definite movements per hour. Babies sleep, and there may be times in the day when you feel little or no movement. That's why it's important to be aware of any changes in your baby's daily pattern. In time you'll get used to your baby's particular patterns

Yes, this is normal because the baby has less room to move around in.

Best wishes

Yes there is less room for the little one now. Usually more slow movements at this point. If you don't feel movement for a long period of time or if you show any signs of labor GET TO A DOCTOR. If you have concerns in the mean time call your doctor or a nurse help line .

The baby will have very active days and some less active... also, as the baby gets bigger, there is less room to move around. As long as you are still feeling movement you should be ok. I suggest calling your doctor. My OB told me to call with any questions at any time... no matter how small they were... boy did he ask for it!!!!!

Totally normal, they dont have much space now. As long as the baby is moving things should be ok, just keep track of it. Do kick counts. Lay down and count how many kicks in one min. If it seems way too few. Call you doc. and tell him what you found with the kick counts.
