or have you realised your loved ones died because a lie!

just because the question is rude,it does not mean it is not true!!

people have lost thier loved ones because of a lie,

the reason we went to war seems to change on a timetable system

first it was 9/11
then it was looking for bin laden
then WMD/saddam
then this, then that

of course they were proud of their family members when they first went out there ,as everyone at the time beleived what was been told to us. - now that has proven to be a lie - how does it feel, sadness, anger what!!

yes the question is harsh, and so is the fact that they are now standing over the grave of their loved ones instead of been with them. how the hell do you wrap something like that up and make it nicer????

We don't know if they were supporters before. I hope none of them read this. It would be very hurtful.

As an ex-forces family member with friends still serving I can only speak for myself!
What makes you think WE ever support war! Justified or based on a lie. We support our loved ones in their chosen careers and if they have to go into danger hope and if religious Pray they will return. They died serving their Country and in defence of the 'Innocent' Iraqi's who only want to be free to live in peace.
As Prince Andrew served in the Falklands it made the Queens Radio Message to our troops all the more poignant.
Don't belittle the deaths of people with more courage than you will ever have.
Also he may not have had weapons of mass destruction which I presume is the lie you refer to but do not be naive enough to think they weren't on his agenda! As he had already used them on his own people Do you think he would have hesitated to use them on others! He'd already started one war!

The way that you have phrased this question is very insensitive.

I believe that these families' perspective on the conflict would carry more weight than the lies and propaganda that some "public servants" have dealt in.

I just think that this too sensitive a subject to rake-up in the way that you have.

Just because they support the troops doesn't mean they support the war. My brother's best-man is over there right now and more are on their way. Even if they do support the war, what business is it of yours?

I know of several who are now very vocal in their refusing to support the war.....some in the news. I for one supported going into Afghanistan after 9/11 and taking out the training camps of the terrorists but I never supported going into Iraq and attacking them first and I do not equate being in Iraq
as "fighting for our freedom"....that's ludicrous.

Of couise they feel like idiots, and of course theyre mad that their family member died for no reason. But maybe they arent as mad becuase the family member that died was a moron him or herself for going to the war to support the dumbest president ever.

so yes therye sad, but maybe it was okay for those people to die as they are obviously mentally challenged to goto Iraq and fight in the war that has no reason, so even if they didn't die there they'd die here for doing something stupid.

thats a horrible thing to say. i saw an interview with some families of the dead soldiers on the t.v. and some of them said it was for their country and that they are proud, and others were upset, its a personal thing. but i dont think bush should send more there.

You will find some families that still support the war - and then you'll find some who don't.

It's a split down the middle type of emotion.

They have to be or else they are giving up hope in a cause that they're relative died for no reason. I would rather support the fight in hopes of a respectful death then discourage those who are risking their lives in the same way.

I don't have a dead soldier relative but I never supported the war in Iraq to begin with!
