The scary thing is, I think they both still have not reached their ceiling, I mean, it was really only the second full year for either of them. Little more power for each next year I'll guess, maybe a tiny drop off in avgBriefly, I would put it like this:
Mauer: .335 avg 22 hrs 97 rbi 40+ 2b's
Morneau: .315 avg 42 hrs 130+ rbi 35 2b's

Mauer - .330 12 HR 80 RBI 80 Runs - Gold glove award
Morneau - .280 35 HR 130 RBI 85 Runs
I think Mauer is the one who is most likely to improve. Morneau might drop off a little but stay close to the same.

Mauer is the real deal, you may see a drop in average, but an increase in power. I project .314, 18 Homers, 92 RBIs, and a couple steals. And Morneau has been a huge prospect who is just coming into his own. .315 48 129. I also think that Rondell White will have a decent year in protecting Morneau in the lineup giving him more pitches to hit.

If Mauer stays healthy and the let him dh on occasion his stats will be better than last year.
Asking Morneau to duplicate last year's hot streak may be asking a lot. He should be around .280 -26-105.

I think that it will be tough for either of them to improve on a very impressive season like the last one. Honestly, I think that Joe will probably hit a couple more HR's than last year, but I think that his avg. might drop a little simply because he will now be recognized by the pitchers as a Batting Champ. Justin will hit around the same amount of HR's also, and we can only hope that he can continue to improve on hitting to the opposite field. Thank God these 2 outstanding players play for the Twinkies!!!!

Improve, Morneau's going to move from the 5th spot to the four spot and they are going to be the most dangerous 3-4 hitters in all of baseball.

Morneau won't match last year's but he will post good numbers. 293 - 24 -101 and a hand full of steals.
Mauer is a gamer. Expect more of the same plus.
