T.O. pulling a sharpie out of his sock, signing the football, and giving it to a fan. Hate him or not, it was a spectacular idea.

With all the respect to the Marvin Harrisons of the league who dont showboat, its fun for the fans when your players do a little celebration in the end zone - and making it fun for the fans is the ultimate point, after all.

The celebrations of yesteryear were probably better, when you'd bring all your linemen up and do a dance in the endzone or something, but those kind of things are illegal now... Chad Johnson's bits are always entertaining.

I liked TO's Sharpie routine, too (though it'd've been better if he tossed the ball he signed to a real fan, not his financial analyst), but I can understand why they'd have to ban using props, or you'd probably start getting guys payed to break out a Geico.com poster folded up in their sock and wave it to the camera or something equally obnoxious.....

I also liked LaMont Jordan's chainsaw back last year too :)

And you have to mention the Lambeau Leap, the quintessential celebration

The best were the classic touchdown celebrations of Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Larry Csonka...they'd just calmly toss the football to the nearest referee, without any shimming and wiggling like a pack of gay go-go dancers. But of course...they were MEN...not the kind of strutting punks that are playing nowadays.

if your talkin about a touchdown celebration then you should watch chad johnson when he scores...if your talking about a celebration after a win then i would say the cal/stanford game when the band ran on the field or the bsu/oklahoma game when everybody went crazy (2007 fiesta bowl)
