In Final Fantasy 3 For The DS. How do you revive yourself?

I know this is kind of a stupid question to ask, but i only have 1 pheonix down left and i have no clue how to revive characters. FF3 isn't like 1 or 2, so i have no clue how to revive my characters. Help yo

There are 3 ways I know on how to revive your dead allies. Here they are:

-Phoenix Down (sad to say, it is buyable in the latter part of the game, I think or maybe cant be bought at all. moreover, this item can be found in chests, but are quite limited throughout the game.)

-"Revicification" Spring (these can be found in selected areas only. there are quiet little of these, and i'm not sure but based on experience, once you've used it in any part of the game once, you can't use it again. I'm not sure though.)

-Raise / Arise Spells (these can be casted by white wizards, devout and sages. again, sad to say, you can purchase these spells in mid to late gameplay.)

Suggestion: as much as possible, just equip your characters with the best defensive gears available. don't hesitate to spend on these because it will help you prevent death. remember, there are limited oppurtunities to revive your characters. also, put characters with rather fragile jobs in the back row (wizards, rangers, devout, sage, magus). it will also help to have a knight in your team that will defend those in near-death state automatically against physical attacks.

The only way to revive your characters is with a phoneix down, if you have a battle/cut scene all defeated characters are automatically revived.
