How many people in here trust their news sources to be clear, unbiased and fair....and which ones do you trust more/less?

I've personally had problems with BBC, CNN, NBC, FOXnews, TIME, ABC, NY TIMES and quite a few others.

two of the more trustworthy, i've found, is washington post and the economist

I watch MSNBC and read Yahoo! News. Both are pretty reliable and unbiased.

A large section of my work involves supporting my position in court from objective information. I have to say, out of the sources you've had problems with, I largely agree bar the BBC reference- they tend to be relatively acurate in reporting the facts at least, (although of course the angle of a story may vary greatly!) The worst thing about larger media outlets such as Foxnews is that they will broadcast reports/pictures/interviews etc. on their 24 hour TV programmes and then 10 minutes later, the report will disappear never to be seen again, (usually because it's inaccurate) and you end up thinking you're the mad one because it's never repeated etc!!!! That's why I won't watch the film United 93- I don't believe the story because of what was reported on several networks in the hour following the plane going down...happy to discusss....

If any of the media was fair & unbiased we would be hearing the truth about the illegal aliens in our country...instead of just the sob stories..... or just the bad about iraq (but then again that may be true)

I contact the 3 major networks regularly and ask for unbiased news....a couple of times they have changed the stories from the 5:00 to the 6:00 and added in the views of the anti-illegals.....if enough of us call their hand it may help!

I don't trust ANY of them - the Washington Post still uses the AP and Reuters, don't they? Both groups have NO problem presenting the "facts" according to their bias.

I find NPR the most fair with fox being the most skewed.. but I don't just accept what is said on any one source... gotta check on all the different views.
