In the Real Estate Business, is it better to work for yourself or as an agent for a company?

To work for yourself you must be a licensed broker and in order to become a licensed broker you must first work for someone else as a Realtor and then take the broker's license courses and exam.

If you are just an agent, you must work for a broker, unless you have your salesperson and broker licenses...then you could work for yourself. I highly recommend working as an agent for a company because you are protected and supported by your broker.
