Because they are desperate for attention and for the money. Morals just aren't the same either as evidenced by the number of girls on here asking about sex and talking about how many men they've been with. I have three teenaged daughters and it makes me feel sick to think that sex is so prevalent in young women. I mean, I'm not a prude, but give me a break asking about oral sex at 14?

I certainly would not say that there are so many, proportionally it would be no more than 2% of the UK population. Therefore, would you claim that the remaining 98% are aspiring porn actresses?
Morals have nothing to do with pornography. It is not an art form, and personally it makes me feel very uncomfortable but, the girls are not selling their lives for money any more than a lawyer.
I am also rather confused as to why you did not feel the need to ask why so many men are in porn, and whether they lacked morals?
Surely it is 'like as like'.

Well perhaps it's because when a young person begins working they start at the beginning, which is or close to minimum wage.
Minimum wage is a joke, a person needs at least double what the minimum wages are to manage and that is even a tight squeeze. So if our youth turns to options that will provide an income that allows Independence and the opportunity to live a somewhat decent life. then there is no one to blame but the government for ignoring the needs of her own citizens.
What is so morally correct about the public settling for unacceptable wages.Porn is the biggest money maker on the internet. And yes it takes money to have a life and an education and FREEDOM.

There was this girl that did porn at 18 years of age, and she's still going to high school, and she says the $$ is great. Just takes days off.
100K a year, folks. And she says she doesn't want to work behind a burger stand making $6 an hour. Go figure.

morals have nothing to do with it, its work.
porn is good money. some also like the freedom and liberation. others love the spot light. many start off as stars and work into their own movie deals, where they help with directing, producing, and/or making script changes.
there's nothing wrong with most porn or with porn stars.
most people have realized that. there are many female porn stars with husbands and children

-the money is good
-you don't need any education
-easy way to get that feeling of being famous
-girls get their fill of attention and being the "bad girl"
-there is anonymity, so many girls do it that if you only want to be in porn a little while, you can easily leave the industry and no one will know what you did

It's not a question of morality. It's a question of neccessity, desperation and the illusion of fame.
