It is possible for you to concieve a baby while you are on B.C. If you stop taking that medication then your baby should end up fine, but if you continue taking B.C. medication and you are pregnant it will cause birth defects or even a miscarrage that is for sure!!!!! That is why on every warning label for B.C. it says not to take while pregnant or breastfeeding!

If you continued taking your birth control pill because you didn't realize you were pregnant, don't be alarmed. Despite years of this accident happening, there's very little evidence that exposure to the hormones in birth control pills causes birth defects or miscarriage.
Still, the birth control pill is a potent estrogen. Lessons learned from women who took diethylstilbestrol — a synthetic estrogen that was later linked with cancer — to prevent miscarriage in early pregnancy suggest that such exposure should be minimized.
Once you learn that you're pregnant, stop taking the birth control pill.
The active ingredients in morning-after pills are similar to those in birth control pills, except in much higher doses. Some morning-after pills contain only one hormone, progestin (Plan B), and others contain two, progestin and estrogen. Progestin prevents the sperm from reaching the egg and keeps a fertilized egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus (implantation). Estrogen stops the ovaries from releasing eggs (ovulation) that can be fertilized by sperm.

I Had a miscarriage because I didn't know i was pregnant until it was too late so (I was on the ppill) I kept taking the pill. (i didnt know because I would start a new pack instead of waiting for my period with the dummy pills) The dr. said there's no way to know if that is what caused it, but i swear that's why I miscarried, so talk to you doctor, maybe it's only certian types of pills. If not make you miscarry, it could harm the baby and it could have birth defects, but that is a lot of things that you put into your body

My friend did this but stopped when she found out she was pregnant (after not knowing for a couple of months). Her child is a beautiful and intelligent toddler now. Once you find out your are pregnant, just immediately stop taking them. The baby will probably be fine. I wouldn't continue to take them. That might be risky further in the pregnancy.

If you take birth control while pregnant in regular doses it could cause a miscarriage. If you over dose yourself then you will have a miscarriage. Please do not try and be your own Doctor. Contact a doctor. The morning after pill is double doses of birth control.

Why would you take birth control while pregnant? Unless you got pregnant whilst on the pill. It shouldn't effect anything to do with the pregnancy. Both mother and baby will not be effected by the pill.

I got pregnant while on the pill, and I didn't find out I was pregnant until five weeks. I wouldn't have taken it had I known I was pregnant, but she is perfectly normal.
