I know that this is just a rumor, but I definitley would like to see him coach this team.
I think that he would give them everything that they need to be a great, strong team..they have a good roster, they just need to be supported a little more, and i think Cowher could do that for them.
I really hope that they hire him when he comes back..what do you think?

I love the steelers too, but i don't think that he will go back to the steelers when he does come back.

ooooh ooohhh!!!! Me me me me me me me!!!!!!
Well, it doesnt look like its gonna happen this year. But they might be doing exactly that for 2008. Let Coughlin finish out his tenure so they dont have to give him extra money to leave early if fired, and then hire Bill Cowher fresh off his one year sabbatical.
Sounds logical to me......
See, the difference is, the players will RESPECT him. When today;s New York daily News says that some players who asked to remain anonymous said to the reporters that having Coughlin back is the worst thing for the Giants? Thats SERIOUSLY not good......
Good question, babe.,,,,,,,,

Not going to happen, at least not this offseason. Coughlin just signed an extension to coach through 2008.
Always thought Cowher would coach only the Steelers. Would be strange to see him on any other team's sideline.

Nothing will help the Giants, they're too busy talking about eachother and fighting with their coach, to actually play football. And now that Coughlin is gonna be the coach again next year, and Eli is still too shaky, It's gonna be awhile before anything positive happens to this team. Go Cowboys

bill cowher should go to the browns. give the good coaches to teams that really really really need them. hes been in the division for the longest time. hes a rival of the browns. hes the best one who understands them. make romeo crennel a defensive coach and move cowher to head coach.

I'd love the G-men are in my divission and Cowher is weak. Evryone knows the league manipulated those games last year via the refs to give Pit the championship. PItty is all I feel for him.

I agree with that guy. Go Steelers...and take the Pirates with you!!! Even if the Giants got Cowher, they would still suck.

no way.. pittsburgh or nowhere..
it could be tough for the steelers to "hold his job" for a year while he takes this break.. teams need full focus and comittment.. any interin coach will struggle. players will have to get used to wheover comes in.
for NYG, i think they resigned Coughlin for one more year, didn't they?

Totally! Good old Tommy...gotta go! Just as you said, he is only an old bat that staggers on the sidelines looking confused.
