Does anyone know the commercial value of mercury? Like how much is it worth. Any other info about mercury would help I'll give a best answer to the person who gives the most including the value that's ten points!

Mercury does have a very small value if you want to buy it. If you have some and want to sell it, it has almost no value. In fact you have to pay to have it taken and processed.

Mercury is used in many thermostats. There is a little bead in there that makes the electrical contact when the thermostat switches over.

Mercury is used in neon lights, it helps brighten the color given off.

Mercury is still used in gold mining. It absorbs solid gold out of dirt and even water. The mercury is later distilled "out of" the gold. They take special precaution now to prevent environmental contamination.

Mercury is still used in some parts of the world in dentistry. It is in the metal fillings, it makes the amalgam eutectic at low temperatures.

Mercury salts are used to make some high temperature glazes for ceramics.
