Simpsons is better because the stories are more interesting. When you watch the first few minutes of an episode, you can never guess what is going to happen later on. And it seems like more thought was put into the jokes in Simpsons compared to Family Guy. Family Guy is funny too, but its just random stuff put together. So Simpsons, you watch a good storyline and it's funny. Family Guy, all you do is watch the random stuff and get a good laugh. So I think Simpsons deserve to be the "better".

I like ALL animation (well except that Japenese anime crap) but if had to pick between these 2 I'd pick the older of the 2. The Simpsons. Yeah we get the worn out jokes & such but it IS the longest running toon out there. Someone mentioned Futurama & I wish like hell they'd revive this show. I mean Hell. They kept giving Family Guy chances. And Futurama IS better than FG any day. But I vote for Simpsons. But I do like several episodes of FG....especially when KISS was on or when they played a JOURNEY tune or?? Hmm Maybe this is why I like Simpsons. They played JOURNEY in several episodes. But really, it is a matter of taste of which is better. One may like it & 50 don't.

I don't know, i always looked upon Family Guy as a cheap knock off of The Simpsons. The Simpsons is indeed past its prime, but i just can't look upon Family Guy as a decent show in its own right.
The Simpsons, but Futurama owns them both.

Both are somewhat equal, but I prefer the Simpsons because they don't talk about so many adult things that spoil the show, like in Family Guy.

Simpsons, definitely. It's just got the edge in that it's original and much funnier without going over the top like FG. Family Guy is just weird, but I do think Stewie is the best thing about it.

They aren't comparable.
Family Guy is sometimes funny to the point that it's rude and the Simpsons is funny because of the characters and the plot but not so much the jokes, if any.
