Okay my first pregnancy was great, no sickness, not so much breast tenderness and/or development, gained 40 lbs (oops), was all round in the belly, no ache, etc. The heartbeat was about 130. It was a boy.

My second is total opposite of what I mentioned above.... I know every pregnancy is different but does that mean maybe girl??? The heartbeat is about 150-160 every visit. I have a US tommorrow but was just curious.

That doesn'tmean it is a girl. That is a myth. Both my pregnancies were totally opposite and i had 2 girls. So trust it doesn't mean a thing.

No really! My first pregnancy was a low heart rate (only around 120) and I was never sick, no problems, felt great most of the time even and that was a girl. THEN I got pregnant again and I felt like hell! I was sick from day one, heart rate is 150, my back is KILLING me all the time, I can't sleep, most food makes me sick and everything.....and it's another girl! The tech was positive it was a girl, so we're positive!

Good Luck!!

Each pregnancy is a unique event. No two are exactly the same. The only ways to know for sure are to have an amnio done (if your u/s is inconclusive) or to just wait till Bayb's birthday...

I've read in several places that a girl's heartbeat is always faster than a boy's heartbeat. Generally girls have heartbeats faster than 144, and boys are less than that. Good luck at the u/s!
