Static electricity is caused by the dry air, the more humid the less static. You already are doing what needs to be done, with the exception of your laundry. Do not dry the clothes 100% dry in the dryer, if you hang them up barely damp and let them finish drying, it helps cut down on the static buildup. Humidifier helps, but maybe a vaporizer as well, they help more in counteracting the dry air caused from electric heat

Are you using the liquid downey in the washer? if so that will not do anything for static, that is just a fabric softener. You need the sheets that go in the dryer. If you save the dryer sheet when the wash is done drying you can use them to dust and it will reduce the static on your tv, computer or any other electrical equipment you have. You could probably use them in the car too.

GOSH I KNOW, I was just complaining about it to a co-worker. I hate this time of year because it is so dry. It sounds like you are doing most everything I would have suggested. IF you have electric heat this is the major culpret. Maybe try puttting the humitafyer in front of the heat exchange! This might help the air to be moister before it goes in to the room?
Ideas for clothing
But what to do when dry winter air makes static-laden skirts scrunch and bunch, and pants creep up to your knees?
Learn the easy all-n/atural ways to banish static cling from your laundry, including the fabulous metal hanger trick that you can use on already-clean clothes!
1. Add either of these cling-busting additions to your laundry wash cycle:
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup or less borax
2. Add 1/4 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle.
3. Switch to a "green" fabric softener, like those made by Seventh Generation or Ecover, made with vegetable-based surfactants, salt, and natural scents.
4. Choose clothing made from natural fibers; they don’t get static cling as readily.
5. Shake out your clothes when you remove them from the drier.
6. The metal hanger trick for already-clean clothes: Put on the garment. If it is a skirt or dress, simply reach up underneath it with a metal hanger and brush the inside of the garment with it, top to bottom. If it’s pants, elongate the hanger and reach up inside each pant leg, brushing downward.

Larry m has the right idea but at this time of year it has to do with things like polyester and nylon based products. Has nothing to do with your dogs shedding that's natural or your electric heat I have oil heat and can get a shock from my cat sometimes in low light see a spark
