hi i'm back, in august i asked if someone knew why by brother, which i haven't seen in 19yrs, won't talk to me. his mom and my dad divorced and she remarried and took him to germany when he was younger, and he never came to see us or my dad, it was kinda of a bad divorce, but i didn't divorce him, and i found him on myspace.com well he hasn't responded, does anyone think he will, might? or should i just give up?

Sometimes when divorces are bad and children are involved; it can be difficult to undo what has been done. If your brother has been lead to believe negative things about you; typically nothing will change his way of thinking. The fact that he hasn't emailed you back makes me believe he isn't interested. We should remember that because we are family we do not share the same feelings about life. I would say chalk it up as a lost cause. You tried, but what good would it do to force him to respond. Let sleeping dogs lie.

that's really strange. i think it would be kinda neat! maybe he feels guilty in some way for never making contact himself. i've found alot of lost friends and a couple family members using myspace -- and i've had good luck so far. try sending him a message letting him know that you don't blame him and that you know it's not his fault, etc. if you do give up, i would definitely leave the last message in a way that leaves it open. i wouldn't express anger at all -- leave it like you're an open, loving sister waiting for him to be ready. you know? lol hope this helps a little. <3 Jennie

Never give up keep trying to make contact email him and explain the situation and let him know you want to get to know him because we dont live forever and time withfamily is to precious to fight or be away from each other.

I don't think he will. It sucks he is your brother. It isn't your fault what happened and he should relize that.

YOU CAN GIVE IT A TRY AND IF HE DOESN'T CONTACT YOU THEN IT'S HIS LOSS. SORRY MAYBE HE'LL CHANGE HIS MIND SOMETIME.
