Short of writing your paragraphs for you, let me give you some ideas.

1. An external symbol is, of course, something outside of the character. In what ways is Nora's house like A Doll's House? How does the relationship of Nora and her children reflect Nora's relationship with Torvald? How is the doctor's inner disease reflected in his props and costumes?

2. Well, Ibsen was vilified as an "hysterical feminist" by fellow playwright August Strindberg is their day. Do you see anything in this play that might suggest a support for feminism?

3. Ibsen was considered to be one of the first great realistic playwrights. Ergo, it stands to reason that you will be able to find some example of how the play is realistic. If you're not sure what a Romantic style play was like, you may need to do a wee bit of research on the subject.

Good luck!
