I am going to be attending Drake University in the fall of '07 and going to double major in pre-med and psychology, in order to become a child psychiatrist. What are some classes that I can take that are going to help me out for med. school?

I'm a psychology student at St Andrews, Scotland. I'd say developmental psychology and neuropsychology are the two most important classes you could take as the first one is obviously about how children develop cognitive processes and how they deal with the world around them. The second class (neuropsychology) is very biologically based and will help to give you insight into behaviour and what neural processes are behind it.

Hope that helps ;)

i would take english just to help you for the rest of the time acedemically. i would take early childhood development, a sociology class, and maybe some sciences. especially biology, like general biology. a chemistry class would help with the medical stuff perhaps.
