No clue dude.
but one thing you can do is get to the bmw showroom and ask some expert there. do this ASAP as its gonna be the best bet for you.

if the car is at the body shop it will have to be aligned after repair so go to body shop and ask them if anyone of the techs has a scanner that can read your computer (not likely but ask anyway) if they say NO ,ask where the car will be aligned and ask for a referral to the shop (most body shops don't have alignment machines ,we do alignments for all the body shops around here) go there and ask real nice (DO NOT bore them with your story or the "FACT" that you won't do it again) if they have the capability to scan a 2007 BMW for top speed (we can do it but it costs $100.00 bucks due to the equipment and the technician that does it ) if they can't and you just want to fool dad have them CLEAR ALL CODES for a case of beer ,you wont have the answer but NEITHER WILL DAD!

Probably best not to ask the insurance company, and better to ask this on e46fanatics.com where the BMW experts hang out.

You know what you were doing, if your father didn't love you he'd be well advised to kick your a$$ all round the house. Next time your friend is applying pressure to kill yourself offer him a rope and kick him out of the car, then he can get himself killed and leave you out of it.

I have driving ludicrously fast, but never with a passanger.
