oh yeah, a note to all you religous right folks...ya know there is room for evolution in any "creators",(pick your own god here), scheme for life. If you want to blast Darwin, why are you reading an anthropological page? hhmmm? christ, i don't go around telling people what to believe, so go put some tobacco on your cedar post and relax. oops, might be a little to native american here, i must be a pagan savage in need of a haircut and some soul saving.

You know, it's interesting, but no one's actually sure if you can cross humans and chimps or not. We're really, really closely related, so it is within the realm of possibility. There's even an article on Wikipedia called "Humanzee". Who knew? Anyway, that article says that any experiments towards that end were halted due to public outrage. I would imagine.
It would be difficult to do it, at least the old-fashioned way. You'd need one really freaky human, and one equally freaky chimp. You would definitely want the chimp's consent, because they are _strong_.

Since we apparently have an additional chromosome, which was added some odd million years ago, I don't think it would be viable. We are close enough genetically that a "mule" is possible, though anybody trying this would probably join Mendelev as one of the most despised scientists ever.

I do not know, but I have seen some guys leave a bar with a big, ugly, women with hair legs. She might have been the missing link. I will be on the lookout 9 months from now to let you know what happened.

No, and they won't. We're not descended from apes. We were created by God in His image. What scientists ignore is the fossil record of nothing here on earth, and then everything in the next level of sediment all at once. The fossil record DOES NOT SUPPORT evolution! Never did! Darwin's THEORY is just a pathetic attempt to deny God. Sorry. Get a clue.

i don't think that is ever going to be possible...
not until man become as compassionate of their own kind as the great ape. anything before this will only add more insults to the great ape ... as darwin had begun. imagine the horrors of the apes to think we could even be remotely related to them , lol
the apes don't know how to shoot their own kind , lol

Hello =)
Well, considering that we are Great Apes, and so were Neanderthals, and it seems that we have bred with them........
Just look around you....they're everywhere........
I am not sure if humans can hybrid with Bonobos or not??
Would you be willing to volunteer??
Namaste,
