instead of spraying, it squirts in huge chunks

You may have gotten make up on it or have a clog of somethign else on the spray. Run an alcohol wipe over the spray head to get it off. If that doesn't work take the spray head off and let it soak in hot water with a bit of hand soap in it. rinse thoroughy and it should be fixed.
Just a tip:
A more complex perfume will last longer. This explains why a lot of the body sprays which are mainly scented water last about 30 minutes. Also it depends on the heat you are exposed to. If you are in hot or humid areas you will change the chemical make up of the spray which will make the smell moot.

Sprayer may be clogged up. Take if off and soak it in hot water for 30 minutes or so. Test it by spraying water thru it until it sprays naturally.

It could be clogged up, try running it under warm water for a minute or so. And sometimes they just malfunction.
