i just met one of my sisters friends, that works at blockbuster, a few weeks ago. he's good friends with my sister and seems to be an alright guy. he came over to my cousins house, where i was visiting with my 2 lil' ones. he borrowed a movie that i rented from the place he works. here's the thing, he told my cousin he was borrowing it, not me. when i noticed that it had been missing for a few days i asked my cousin about it. i told my cousin to call the guy and ask him about it. he told both of us that it was okay..that he had already turned it in. about and hour after that i recieved a call that said they were going to bill me the full price of the movie because it was a week overdue. i have smoke coming out of my ears!!! this guy is on myspace, but i never really talk to him. also, i live in texas and he's in oklahoma. i dont know how to talk to him about this. i'm mad and i think he should pay this! any advice is appreciated.

Think of it as a lesson learned. Never trust anybody with your stuff, especially with someone who does not care about you.

Sounds like you cousin is the person that you should have the issue with. It's seems like he or she was the one who let this guy "borrow" the movie. I'm also not clear on whether he returned the movie to the store or not. Was it just late or was it not returned? If it was a week over due when it was returned I can't understand why you would have to pay the full cost of the movie rather than just late fees. Talk to the manager at the store and clarify that. You'll have to pay what they say that you owe though, no matter who's fault it is that it wasn't returned or returned on time. Basically, the movie was your responsibility.
Take care!

Tell the movie rental place who has the movie and why. Offer to file a formal complaint with the police. This so-called "friend" of your sisters did not ask your permission to take this movie, so he needs to deal with the consequences.
