That all these people in America who are like "Dam* Immigrants" are idiots, considering at one point along time ago evryone in America were immigrants who came from overseas! So really everyone in the U.S.A has immigrants in their family history background right?

Yes and No

I agree with you that anyone who thinks bad about all Immigrants is an idiot.

But not because that person has an immigrant in his family history as well.
But because America does not hold a monopoly on intelligence

I personally think that Americans that came here and EARNED their citizenship make better Americans (in general) than Americans that were born here and were granted citizenship.

Because we natural born citizens take too much for granted. We dont appreciate exactly what we have and that others do NOT have the same freedoms we have daily.
During my Travels in the Navy I have been to some very poor countries. I have seen how they live. Nearly every one of them dreams of coming to America. Because they understand what it is that makes America great.
Many of those born here take those same freedoms and use them to hate America, to say horrible things about the very country that makes it possible to say those things.

Granted that at one point we all immigrated to America, the issue now is, as the first guy stated, legally here. I am all for people coming to America to better their lives but they need to do it the legal way. Illegal immigrants put a major strain on our resources, i.e. welfare system. There has to be some sort of reform for it to work. If you illegally immigrated to another country they would have the same issues with you and their resources.
It doesn't sound fair. Most people think America is the melting pot everyone should be able to come here no matter what. Well if that was the case then everyone would be here and what would happen then??? Our resources would disappear, you would have a much higher poverty level than we all ready do, the school system would completely fall apart worse than it is now, etc.

I don't agree that anyone is necessarily an idiot for their beliefs about immigrants, however I do agree with your point that most people living in the US today have grandparents or great-grandparents who immigrated looking for a better life. However, I would just like to point out that there are Native Americans who still live in the US like their ancestors have for at least 12,000 years. Also, the many people brought to the US in slavery I would not really call immigrants since they didn't have a choice in the matter, and some African Americans today don't feel that their ancestors "immigrated" to the US.

Something to consider though, many of the Mexican and Guatemalan immigrants coming to the US are in fact Native Americans. Some even from tribes that span the Mexico/US border. Therefore it does seem pretty unreasonable for people whose ancestors immigrated and "settled" the west, killing and driving out the native populations, to then complain about "illegal immigrants" who are in fact the descendants of those people driven from their lands. And although US law might not have prohibited killing Native Americans (who were not US citizens) and in fact bounties were even paid out per head killed, the fact that immigrants actions were in fact "legal" does not make them right or defensible in my book.

Why should anyone be able to claim rights to a land that was initally stolen from those who didn't have the power to defend it.

Legal or not, immigrants come here for the same reasons our forefathers did, our statue of Liberty states "give me your tired your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free, the wretched refuse of your teaming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest tost, to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Our declaration of Independance states that all men have these rights, not just Americans, "We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

Totally right but people like to forget things that don't help their argument. Although native americans are probably not immigrants.

yep and whats really bad is they want to give them drivers license without being legal, (then they will arrest them for something connected i'm sure) they give them jobs, let them have children here then deport them at Christmas (but leave the poor helpless babes here without parents) it's Evil. either deport them till they are legal or leave them here with their children! Dont leave them here long enough to have children THEN deport them. (sounds like they just want to put more children in the already over burdened system:( it happened at Christmas 25 miles from me. sad it was.

thats true! and also at one point and time, "Americans" were stupid too...everyone had to start somewhere, receive an education, and be able to teach others, resulting in where we are at today.
