yes mate, why not go for either a nvidia geforce 6200(256mb)http://www.misco.co.uk/productinformation/~510331~WW~/GeFORCE%206200%20256MB%20DDR%20AGP%20DVI%20TV.htm,this is probally the best sub £50 card you can buy,it comes with 256mb of ddr memory, direct x 9.0c compatible and pixel and shader model 3.0
to explain each of these in easier terms...256mb ddr memory...this card has 256mb of ddr(double data rate..this means it has a double clock cycle..speeding up the memory) memory,so leaving the system memory free to concentrate on the calculations of the game code, thus giving you a smoother all round experience
pixel and shader model is the highest model of shader/pixel at the present time and is good enough for most recent games(doom3,quake4)
you may also find the A.T.I radeon 9550 a very good purchase, this again has 256mb of ram although this only has pixel and shader model 2.0(although this is still vista comaptible)..take a look at it http://www.misco.co.uk/productinformation/~100999~WW~/SAPPHIRE%20RADEON%209550%20256MB%20DDR%20AGP%20DVI%20TV%20OUT%20VGA%20CARD.htm
basically if you look hard enough you can buy a good graphics card for less than £50,i upgrade about once a year and am currently on a geforce 7600gs(256mb) and i only payed £59 for that,it does all the tasks i need it to do
ok if we could afford it,we all would buy a geforce 8800gtx for £450 but why,you can buy a p.c for less than that
personally i would go for the nvidia geforce 6200(256mb) as its a good all round card and never lets you down
good luck
