Me and my boyfriend have recently been thinking about having a child. We had unprotected sex right around the time i was ovulating, but i don't feel pregnant at all and i should be one month on saturday!! we have unprotected sex all the time, but it doesn't seem to work. or not yet anyway. i think i should go and see a doctor about possible fertility issues. how long did it take YOU to get pregnant?

It took us 2yrs & 10mths to get pregnant with our daughter....I have PCOS and didnt know it until the month I concieved our daughter and got the proper meds.
If you've only tried for 1 month, then no you dont need to see a dr or even consider you might have fertility issues. If your under 30 and have tried less than a year most dr's wont even see you. 1 month of trying is nothing to freak over.

i wouldn't worry about seeing a doctor just yet. every woman is different and sometimes it takes some women longer. i was on birth control for 5 years when my husband and i decided we wanted kids. it took us 3 months to get pregnant. that is also how long it took a nurse that i talked to about getting pregnant.

if i were you i would wait until i got married before trying for a family. it would be for the best. that is the way God intended it to be.

i had been having unprotected sex with my husband since we married in 1996 and we never got pregnant..we just figured we couldn't have children and were fine with that...we thought about finding out why it wasn't happening but decided we weren't going to go through all that and if we were meant to get pregnant we would and if not we would enjoy our nephews and all was fine...fast forward to september 2001...i was 37 and my husband 57 and after feeling premenstrual for a few weeks it finally dawned on me to test and on sept 10 2001 i found out i was pregnant..and our daughter was born in may 2002 when i was 38..i think what finally did it for us was my loosing 40 pounds...so all in all we were unofficially trying for 6 years

It took my husband and I 19 months to concive and 3 rounds of clomid, and we have no known fertility problems. "It you have unprotected sex for 6 month and do not concive or have 2 or more miscarriages, you should seek medical help" I know it's frusturating and sad but it takes the average couple 3 months to concive.

With both pregnancies it only took us 1-2 months found out in 2 month. It really depends on the women or the man, were all different.

I was on the pill and after we decided to have a baby it took me a year to get pregnant after stopping the pill. I also didn't know I was pregnant until I was three months along!! (I always had irregular periods). Good luck!!

With both kids I got pregnant right away. My son was a suprise a(a broken condom when I was 17) and then when my husband and I got married and went on our honeymoon we got pregnant with our second. Everyone is different though so hang in there.

some people it takes years, it's all about fate and just keep pressing forward. you've just started on having a child, do you really think you'll get pregnant right away?? give it a year before you see your doctor.
