Well Ms. Smidgey if you are at all in doubt I would suggest that you hold off. But if you are like me and feel that this is your soul mate and that you want to grow old with him, that you both love each other unconditionally and feel comfortable enough to communicate your deepest darkest secrets together than I would say go for it. Certainly the relationship will change over time as do all relationships but after being together for 4 years you should already be aware of this. Good luck in making you decision and if you do decide to marry may it be a long and happy relationship.

It will change a little bit, but it should be a change for the better. if you already live together and share a joint bank account then it will only change on the inside of yourselves. you will take each other more seriously as will the rest of the world and you will realize that you are both truly in it for the long haul. If you don't live together than the changes will be more, but normal for any two people who decide to live together under the same roof. The only way it will change negatively is if either of you has "expectations" of what a wife or husband "should" do. For example if he beleives that a wife should cook and clean and you beleive that a husband should fix everything in the house that breaks, and if the expectations aren't met then trouble ensues.

If you guys are very much in love yes I think you should for sure marry him. Things do change when you get married but I think they change for the better. Everyday you get to wake up next to the man that you love and you get to spend the rest of your life with. Marriage is an amazing thing and love is even more amazing. Good Luck

marry him if you don't want any more sex and want to feel like you're in a mental, physical, and emotional rut until the day you die.
