Some recent studies suggest that dreaming may literally be the brain's opportunity to just let its guard down and make incoherent thoughts while your body is is resting and repairing. Your resources during sleep are spent on the body, and your brain is part of that process. Further, the brain also needs some rest. During the day, it actually puts a lot of effort into deciding what signals are important and what should be ignored. Otherwise you would likely go insane. It doesn't do that as much while you're asleep. Maybe.

Short answer - you don't like him/her.

Most people have had similar dreams. The person is someone who is getting in your way, someone causing a great deal of resentment, frustration, or a threat to you.

You probably have the real or imagined idea that if this person were to go away, an ongoing problem with your life would go away also.

It means you dreamed you killed somebody.

This points to repressed anger towards someone or something, if it was someone you know or family then there might be some anger you need to get over to have a sound sleep.

Please add the details of how you felt after you killed them and who it was and what they mean to you. You'll get much better speculation that way. It isn't me is it?
