Yes this is common in pregnant women. Short of breath i'm 6mth pregnant and still get it every so often. Don't worry its all normal as the baby can be pressing up against your lung(s) i asked my midwife about this and she confirmed it will happen and apparantly gets worse the longer the pregnancy goes on.

That is really funny because I am six weeks pregnant and that happened to my last night. I was short of breath but after a couple of deep breaths I was ok. I think its just the body adjusting to two people.

Shortness of breath during pregnancy in completely normal. In fact, most women experience it at some point during their pregnancy. I am 7 weeks and I already feel winded when I talk too long and especially when I climb the 4 flights of stairs at work. I'm right along with you on this one!

Yeah, happened to me. Shortness of breath is common. It's just your body getting used to having to take care of two lives.

Could you have poor circulation? If the baby is taking oxygen from your body and your blood isn't moving what oxygen you have very well, you may just need the extra oxygen.
