I doubt it. There is no new "plan." A strategy/plan requires more than simply saying "we need more troops." What will they do when they get there? How will they be any different from the troops that are already there? Those are the questions the president needs to address.

With just as much success as the other plans, something like 84% of the Iraqi people want us to get out, 70% of the voters want to get out and Bush sends more troops. What can I say.

Historically. the situation there in Iraq, ( a religious civil war) and the absence of a desire, by the religious leaders involved to, be accommodating to others, can only lead to a resounding NO_NO_NO to any reasonable expectation that the U S can achieve any thing resembling success.

The troops are only as effective as their commanders are, so the question ought to be whether the military command structure has a grasp of the situation and the means to control it. President Bush is not in overall command. He is merely a figurehead.
