The jet stream is higher north of New York, Michigan and Wisconsin than normal. That's changing though and the Pacific is cooling back to it's normal temperature after a moderate el Nino. Expect winter to return early in the week. You're welcome.

1. There is a story out of the Great Drought of the 1930's that men would go outside and throw pebbles on the roofs of their houses so that their children would not panic when it actually did rain.
2. Have you not been tuned into the news? The high plains have been hit by 3 consecutive snowstorms, and weeks later thousands are without electricity due to the ice/snow storms. Denver, CO is actually about 5° south of NYC.
