do you foresee athletes discontinuing the use of steroids anytime soon, or that someone will find some other drug that will not be so easily traced. ???

There's always the new hot drug out that gets past the tests, with testosterone the limit is six times normal levels for a drug test failure therefore a person could regulate his limits to about 5 times the normal level. There will always be drug users but lets face it, there are a whole lot of players using steroids including pitchers and one of the reasons that normal steroid users differ from Barry is that Barry had the best swing in baseball and had the best eyes for the strike zone in the majors. There will always be drug users in sports and its time for people to accept that sports and sports fans will have to think around the issue.

Why do you think so many baseball players go down to latin america and play in the winter leagues? It is because steroids are legal and prevalent down there, and they go juice up in the off season. Why else would a guy who makes 15 million a year go somewhere like that and play for almost nothing?

Steroids and drugs like them will always be used to a certain extent, there will always be someone that will get around the tests and what not and as long as they believe it helps they will use them.

As long as the drugs are available, people will do them. All that we can do is hope that those that enforce the rules actually do, and that all penalties are handing down and executed properly.
