I'm in a monogamous, safe sexual relationship and have never had a problem with odor. I go for routine checkups and bathe regularly, so I'm alright there. After my last cycle though, there's been this unpleasant "fishy" smell. Its not noticeable until after sex. Iknow BV carries that tell-tale scent. I've had BV once before, a few years ago and was treated. Is it possible that that's what's going on now?

I've already scheduled my appointment, so just plain ol' experience-related advice would be nice.

Thankfully, I date a gentleman...not an insensitive, immature, boy...so, this issue doesn't gross him out as much as it bothers me. Its not really strong, kinda faint but noticeable.

The sexual lubrication fluids in both your vagina and in guy's semen have similar proteins to what makes fish slimy, so it can be common for this to occur next day after sex or even strong arousal.

It can be a bit gross, but if it is not persistent then probably normal.
