There is a DVD series called the Computer Professor. It has very easy to use, step by step instruction that most anybody can learn on. Might be an option for you.

The local senior centers are great for that. Then there's the library and local school districts that sometimes do community classes.

Usually there are basic literacy classes at your local community college. They are generally daytime or evening classes and pretty cheap.
