I am getting ready to have my second child in the next couple of months. I have heard that the second baby is easier to giv ebirth to than the first. My first was very easy not even two pushes and he was out. is it true that the second is easier?

Yes, the average time it takes for the second labor is half the time of the first.

That's ironic. The first delivery for me was the more difficult...12 hours of labor and 2 1/2 hours of pushing to get him out! The second one, with my daughter, was a snap! A couple of pushes after maybe 2 hours of labor and she was here. But you know what? Everyone and every pregnancy is different. You may have an easy delivery like the first, or it could be longer. Not what you wanted to hear...sorry : ( Either way, you'll have your second baby, and it'll be a faint memory some day. Good luck and congratulations!

Usually the second, third, fourth, etc. baby is easier to give birth to. Your body has been through labor and delivery and your muscles are stretched out from the first time. Unless there are some unusual complications that happen, it should at least be the same or easier. Hopefully you'll only have to push one time :)

Nope.
My first was very very easy with minimal problems but my 2nd....jeez....i knew i was in labor that day but wasen't feeling anything until afternoon. They shot me with Stadol the worst thing ever and labor progressed within the blink of an eye, i mean it happened so quickly and we barely made it to the hospital.
They thought they had me stabalized enough to go get the IV and i started pushing and screaming (naturaly) and the nurses eyes about fell to the floor. She kept screaming don't push don't push. They had nothing ready or set up, no medications administered, no doctor present lol, it was so dramatic. The doctor shot down the hallway with his hands in the football position and jumped infront of me just in time to catch my daughters head who had already crowned and with the cord wrapped 3 times....... oh my word, just 3 pushes and it was on lol. Whereas my 1st daughter i pushed about 7 or 8 times.
I'm 18 weeks pregnant and i am hoping and praying we 1. make it to the hospital lol and 2. i get the IV.
I think labor progresses quicker with the 2nd but it's different for everybody i just i hope i don't go through this time want i went through with my 2nd

I think its different for all. It was easier for me with my 2nd and 3rd, but for a friend of mine she had a more difficult time. With my second I was only in labor for an hour and had him in 2 pushes.

my second was easier. my first i was in labor for three days almost, my second i went into labour at 6am and had him at 2:11pm. Most of the time second and third babies are easier, barring complications. the first baby "paves the way" so to speak

I have heard this but it worried me because my son was a total of 4 hours, I only had two hours at the hospital,
so if its half he time I better go when I get my first contraction. I just wasnt sure with my 1st -until an hour later they were even contractions, they didnt hurt enough.

AHHHHHH!

My second was easier. The labor was four hours shorter. Actually, my second one was born in the car. However, the postpartum was worse. I was sick for over six months.
