I got pregnant using Clomid 50 mg the 3rd month I was on it. So yes it does work. If you are having the lower abdomen pain, it could be just ovulation pain. Which you may have never experienced before due to non-ovulation. But, Clomid can cause ovarian cysts and you should be monitored while on it. If the pain is ongoing and does not come in the middle of your cycle (about the time you would ovulate) or if it lasts more than 24 hours, see your physician with these symptoms.

How long have you been on the clomid...could you be pregnant already? If so call your doctor...severe pain could also be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy which is dangerous!
If not...Did you check the info on the clomid for side effects to see if this may be a normal side effect? You should notify your doctor no matter what so they know this is happening...there may be another med you can try that may cause less problems for you.
I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle using clomid after trying without medication for a yr. so I know clomid works. Like any medication though it may not be right for everyone!
Good luck!

That is a side effect of the Clomid, there are lots and some women get them all and some none. I hope the RE found out after blood test that you were not ovulating, that is the only reason that you should be taking Clomid. It can help you ovulate which when you are charting you BBT you will known when ovulation will occur and to have sex on certain days.

I don't know about the severe pain or gas part. You should clal your doctor.

As for clomid, it is very effective if the fertility issue is a mild one. That is how I got pregnant - the first month too!
