even if no law is broken, how to raise their children? And do not say they do not, I have seen it happen to many families. I just want to know what law, and why they (or the government) think they are the one's to tell us how to raise our kids.

I am not sure if they legally can. I do know it was in the papers that in Marion County FL, the sheriffs Dept will not go to any sites with DHS personial anymore, due to the fact that DHS was using them in Bullying postions. Kado's to them.

Are they suggesting other ways to discpline your children or how to raise them? DHS investigates allegations of child abuse, neglect or maltreatment that are called in to a hotline.

Personally, as DHS worker, I could care less about how you raise your child, and many of my co-workers would agree. However, we do care about how you discipline your children. There are laws and statutes that parents must follw when rasing their children, especially when it comes to discipline & neglect. We also have laws that we must follow. When there appears to be some abuse or neglect, we often will suggest different discipline techniques, instead of ripping the child from your home and sending them to a foster home while you attend parenting classes.
